26. Lüüsias läks siis kõnetooli, kaitses lepingut niipalju kui võimalik ja püüdis inimesi veenda. Tal õnnestuski nad soodsalt häälestada. Seejärel läks ta tagasi Antiookiasse. Niisugune oli kuninga rünnaku ja taandumise käik.
