39. Aga kui Lüsimahhos Menelaose nõusolekul oli linnas toime pannud mitmeid templi rüüstamisi ja kuuldus sellest levis väljaspoole linna, siis kogunes hulk rahvast Lüsimahhose vastu, kuna juba palju kuldriistu oli laiali kantud.
