44. Ja Iisraeli mehed kostsid Juuda meestele ning ütlesid: 'Meil on kümme osa kuningast ja Taavetistki on meil rohkem kui teil. Mispärast te siis põlgate meid? Ja kas meie ei kõnelnud esimestena, et me toome tagasi oma kuninga?' Aga Juuda meeste sõna oli kõvem kui Iisraeli meeste sõna.
