13. Ja Gaad tuli Taaveti juurde, kuulutas seda ning ütles temale: 'Kas peaks su maale tulema seitsmeks aastaks nälg? Või kas tahaksid kolm kuud põgeneda oma vaenlaste eest, kes sind taga ajavad? Või peaks su maal olema kolm päeva katk? Mõtle nüüd järele ja vaata, mida ma vastan temale, kes mind läkitas!'
