8. Kui kuningas tuli palee rohuaiast tagasi kotta, kus veini oli joodud, siis oli Haaman langenud asemele, millel Ester lamas. Ja kuningas ütles: 'Kas ta tahab isegi kuningannat mu oma kojas ära naerda?' Vaevalt oli see sõna kuninga suust välja tulnud, kui juba Haamani nägu kaeti.
