1. Siis rääkis suhiit Bildad ja ütles:
  
2. 'Valitsus ja hirm on temal, kes oma kõrgustes rahu loob.
  
3. Kas on määra tema väehulkadel? Ja kellele tema valgus ei tõuse?
  
4. Kuidas võiks siis inimene olla õige Jumala ees? Ja kuidas võiks naisest sündinu olla puhas?
  
5. Vaata, isegi kuu ei hiilga ja tähedki pole tema silmis selged,
  
6. veel vähem siis inimene, see ussike, inimlaps, see vaglake.'
