28. Ja samal päeval vallutas Joosua Makkeda ning lõi mõõgateraga seda ja selle kuningat, hävitades sootuks need ja kõik hingelised, kes seal sees olid, kedagi säästmata; ja ta talitas Makkeda kuningaga, nagu ta oli talitanud Jeeriko kuningaga.
