16. Kui nüüd Heroodes nägi, et tähetargad on teda petnud, raevutses ta väga ning laskis tappa Petlemmas ja selle piirkonnas kõik poeglapsed, kaheaastased ja nooremad, arvestades seda aega, mille ta oli tähetarkadelt täpselt välja uurinud.
