9. Ja Nehemja, kes oli maavalitseja, ja preester Esra, kirjatundja, ja leviidid, kes rahvast õpetasid, ütlesid kogu rahvale: 'See päev on pühitsetud Issandale, teie Jumalale. Ärge leinake ja ärge nutke!' Sest kogu rahvas nuttis, kui nad Seaduse sõnu kuulsid.
