1. Laulujuhatajale: kaheksandal helil; Taaveti laul.
  
2. Päästa, Issand, sest vagad on lõppenud ja ustavad on otsa saanud inimlaste seast!
  
3. Nemad räägivad tühja üksteisega, räägivad libedate huultega, kahepaikse südamega.
  
4. Hävitagu Issand kõik libedad huuled, keeled, mis räägivad kõrke asju,
  
5. kes ütlevad: 'Oma keele tõttu me oleme tugevad, meie huuled on meie võimuses, kes on meile isandaks?'
  
6. 'Viletsate rõhumise, vaeste ägamise pärast tõusen ma nüüd üles,' ütleb Issand, 'ma toon pääste sellele, kes hingeldab.'
  
7. Issanda kõned on puhtad kõned, need on hõbe, mis savist ahjus sulatatud ja seitsmekordselt puhastatud.
  
8. Sina, Issand, kaitsed neid; sa hoiad neid igavesti selle põlve rahva eest.
  
9. Õelad käivad toredasti ringi, kui nurjatus inimlastes ennast ülendab.
