1. Mõista mulle õigust, oh Jumal, ja aja mu asja halastamatu rahva vastu! Päästa mind petise ja ülekohtuse mehe käest!
  
2. Sest sina oled mu Jumal, mu tugev kaitse. Mispärast sa tõukasid mu ära? Miks ma pean ikka kurvalt käima oma vaenlase surve all?
  
3. Läkita oma valgus ja oma tõde, need juhatagu mind, need viigu mind sinu pühale mäele ja su hoonetesse,
  
4. et ma tuleksin Jumala altari äärde, Jumala ette, kes on mu ülim rõõm, ja tänaksin kandlega sind, oh Jumal, minu Jumal!
  
5. Miks sa oled nii rõhutud, mu hing, ja nii rahutu mu sees? Oota Jumalat, sest ma tahan teda veel tänada, oma abi ja oma Jumalat!
