39. David se enteró de que había muerto Nabal, y exclamó: ¡Bendito el Señor, que se encargó de defender mi causa contra la afrenta que me hizo Nabal, librando a su siervo de hacer mal! ¡Hizo recaer sobre Nabal el daño que había hecho! Luego mandó a pedir la mano de Abigaíl, para casarse con ella.
