10. Amasá no se percató de la espada que tenía Joab en la mano izquierda y le clavó la espada en la ingle, le salieron fuera los intestinos y, sin necesidad de otro golpe, Amasá murió. Joab y su hermano Abisay persiguieron a Sebá, hijo de Bicrí.
