21. Salomon poika Rehabeam oli kuninkaana Juudassa. Rehabeam oli kuninkaaksi tullessaan neljänkymmenenyhden vuoden ikäinen. Hän hallitsi seitsemäntoista vuotta Jerusalemissa, kaupungissa, jonka Herra oli kaikkien Israelin heimojen keskeltä valinnut nimensä asuinsijaksi. Hänen äitinsä oli ammonilainen Naama.
