1. (H4:1-2)Kun siis Kristus on ruumiissaan kärsinyt, niin olkaa tekin valmiita kärsimään, jotta eläisitte jäljellä olevan maallisen elämänne Jumalan tahdon mukaisesti ettekä ihmisten himoja seuraten. Sillä se, joka on ruumiissaan kärsinyt, on luopunut synnistä.
