36. Saul sanoi: "Meidän pitää vielä tänä yönä hyökätä filistealaisten kimppuun ja ahdistaa heitä aamunkoittoon saakka. Silloin voimme tuhota heidät viimeiseen mieheen." Sotilaat vastasivat: "Tee niin kuin parhaaksi näet." Mutta pappi sanoi: "Meidän täytyy ensin kysyä neuvoa Jumalalta."
