1. Jerusalemin asukkaat huusivat Joramin jälkeen kuninkaaksi hänen nuorimman poikansa Ahasjan, sillä rosvojoukko, joka oli hyökännyt maahan yhdessä arabialaisten kanssa, oli tappanut kaikki hänen vanhemmat poikansa. Näin Joramin poika Ahasja tuli Juudan kuninkaaksi.
