11. Silloin kuninkaan tytär Josabat otti Ahasjan pojan Joasin salaa pois surmattaviksi määrättyjen kuninkaan poikien joukosta. Hän vei pojan ja tämän imettäjän makuuhuoneeseensa. Näin Ahasjan sisar Josabat, kuningas Joramin tytär ja pappi Jojadan vaimo, kätki pojan Ataljalta, ja pojan henki säästyi.
