18. Jojada asetti papit ja leeviläiset Herran temppeliin hoitamaan niitä tehtäviä, jotka Daavid oli heille määrännyt. Heidän tuli uhrata temppelissä polttouhreja Herralle, niin kuin Mooseksen laissa on säädetty, iloiten ja laulaen Daavidin antamien ohjeiden mukaan.
