21. Ja Herra lähetti enkelin, joka surmasi Assyrian kuninkaan leiristä jokaisen soturin, ruhtinaan ja päällikön. Kuningas palasi nöyryytettynä omaan maahansa. Kun hän sitten kerran meni jumalansa temppeliin, hänen omat poikansa pistivät hänet siellä miekalla kuoliaaksi.
