6. Manasse pani poikansa kulkemaan Ben-Hinnomin laaksossa tulen läpi, harjoitti ennustamista, merkkien tutkimista ja noituutta ja otti palvelukseensa henkienmanaajia ja enteidenselittäjiä. Hän teki paljon sellaista, mikä on väärää Herran silmissä, ja herätti näin hänen vihansa.
