17. Herra antoi Babylonian kuninkaan hyökätä Juudan asukkaiden kimppuun. Hän surmasi heidän nuoret miehensä temppelissä, hän ei säästänyt nuorukaisia eikä neitoja, ei vanhoja eikä raihnaita. Kaikki hän antoi Babylonian kuninkaan käsiin.
