6. Papit seisoivat palveluspaikoillaan, samoin leeviläiset soittimineen. Kuningas Daavid oli ne teettänyt sitä varten, että niillä säestettäisiin Herran ylistyslaulua "Iäti kestää hänen armonsa". Heitä vastapäätä papit soittivat torvia, ja esipihalla seisoi Israelin kansa.
