12. Jojada toi kuninkaan pojan esiin, asetti hänen päähänsä otsarivan ja antoi hänelle lain kirjan. Hänet julistettiin kuninkaaksi ja voideltiin, ja kaikki taputtivat käsiään ja huusivat: "Eläköön kuningas!"
