(H12:19)Silloin Juudan kuningas Joas otti kaikki uhrilahjat, jotka hänen edeltäjänsä, Juudan kuninkaat Josafat, Joram ja Ahasja, olivat temppeliin tuoneet, sekä omat uhrilahjansa ja kaiken kullan, mitä oli Herran temppelin ja kuninkaan palatsin aarrekammioissa, ja lähetti ne Syyrian kuninkaalle Hasaelille. Niin Hasael lähti pois eikä hyökännyt Jerusalemiin.
