17. Assyrian kuningas lähetti Lakisista ylipäällikkönsä, ylieunukkinsa ja ylimmän juomanlaskijansa mahtavan sotajoukon komentajina Jerusalemiin viemään viestin kuningas Hiskialle. Jerusalemiin saavuttuaan he jäivät odottamaan Yläaltaan kanavan äärelle, Pesijänkentän tien varteen.
