24. Josia hävitti myös henkienmanaajat ja enteidenselittäjät, kotijumalat, epäjumalankuvat ja kaikki muut iljetykset, joita Juudan maassa ja Jerusalemissa vielä oli. Näin hän pyrki toteuttamaan lain sanat, jotka oli kirjoitettu pappi Hilkian temppelistä löytämään kirjaan.
