25. He tekivät kaupungeista raunioita, ja kaikki hyvät pellot tulivat täyteen kiviä, kun kukin sotilas heitti pellolle kiven. He tukkivat jokaisen vesilähteen ja kaatoivat kaikki arvokkaat puut. Lopulta vain Kir-Haresetin muurit olivat pystyssä, ja sielläkin linkomiehet saartoivat kaupungin ja ahdistivat sitä.
