18. Ratsumies lähti heitä vastaan ja sanoi: "Kuningas kysyy, tuletteko rauhallisin aikein." Jehu vastasi: "Mikä sinä olet minun aikeistani kysymään? Käännä hevosesi ja seuraa minua!" Tähystäjä ilmoitti, että lähetti oli jäänyt joukon luo eikä ollut lähtenyt takaisin.
