21. Heidän mentyään Jonatan ja Ahimaas nousivat kaivosta ja menivät ilmoittamaan viestinsä kuningas Daavidille. He kehottivat häntä lähtemään liikkeelle ja menemään kiireesti virran yli sekä kertoivat, millaisen neuvon Ahitofel oli antanut hänen tuhokseen.
