22. Sitten tämä viisas nainen esitti asian kaupungin asukkaille, ja he löivät Bikrin pojalta Sebalta pään poikki ja heittivät sen Joabille. Joab puhalsi torveen, ja sotilaat lopettivat piirityksen ja hajaantuivat kukin kotiinsa. Tämän jälkeen Joab palasi Jerusalemiin kuninkaan luo.
