13. Gad tuli kertomaan tämän Daavidille ja sanoi: "Tahdotko, että maahasi tulee seitsemän nälkävuotta? Vai pakenetko mieluummin kolmen kuukauden ajan vihamiehiäsi, jotka ajavat sinua takaa? Vai annatko ruton tulla maahasi kolmeksi päiväksi? Mieti nyt ja sano, mitä minun on vastattava hänelle, joka minut lähetti."
