11. Jos kuitenkin olisin syyllistynyt johonkin rikokseen, josta seuraa kuolemanrangaistus, olen kyllä valmis kuolemaan. Mutta jos näiden miesten syytöksissä ei ole mitään perää, ei kukaan voi luovuttaa minua heidän käsiinsä. Minä vetoan keisariin."
