17. Hänestä tuli kuninkaalle kaikkia muita naisia rakkaampi, eikä kukaan toinen neitsyt osannut hänen laillaan voittaa puolelleen kuninkaan mieltymystä ja suosiota. Kuningas asetti kuninkaallisen kruunun Esterin päähän ja julisti hänet kuningattareksi Vastin sijaan.
