8. Hän antoi Hatakille myös jäljennöksen Susassa julkaistusta juutalaisten tuhoamista koskevasta kirjeestä, jotta Hatak näyttäisi sen Esterille. Mordokai pyysi, että Hatak kertoisi asiat Esterille ja kehottaisi häntä menemään kuninkaan luo rukoilemaan armoa kansalleen.
