24. "Mutta jos vanhurskas luopuu vanhurskaudestaan ja tekee sellaista mikä on väärin, samoja iljettäviä tekoja joita jumalaton tekee -- jos hän tekee niin, saako hän elää? Sitä hyvää, minkä hän on tehnyt, ei lasketa hänen hyväkseen. Hän on luopunut Jumalasta ja syyllistynyt synnintekoon, ja siksi hän kuolee.
