9. Kun Jaakob, Keefas ja Johannes, joita pidettiin seurakunnan pylväinä, käsittivät, minkä tehtävän Jumala oli minulle armossaan antanut, he ojensivat minulle ja Barnabakselle kätensä yhteistyön merkiksi: meidän oli määrä mennä vieraiden kansojen, heidän taas juutalaisten keskuuteen.
