12. Metalliseppä teroittaa talttansa. Hän työskentelee ahjon ääressä, vasaroilla hän muovaa kuvan, muotoilee sen kättensä voimalla. Mutta nälkä hänenkin tulee, ja silloin hänen voimansa ehtyvät. Hän uupuu, jos ei saa vettä janoonsa.
