8. "Mutta jos jokin kansa tai valtakunta ei suostu palvelemaan Babylonian kuningasta Nebukadnessaria eikä ottamaan niskaansa hänen iestään, minä rankaisen sitä miekalla, nälällä ja rutolla, sanoo Herra. Minä lähetän Babylonian kuninkaan sitä kansaa vastaan ja teen siitä lopun.
