37. valtasivat sen ja surmasivat sen kuninkaan ja kaikki asukkaat. He hävittivät seudun kaikki muutkin kaupungit asukkaineen eivätkä jättäneet ketään henkiin. Joosua teki Hebronille niin kuin oli tehnyt Eglonillekin: hän julisti kaupungin Herralle kuuluvaksi uhriksi ja tuhosi sen kaikkine asukkaineen.
