24. He vastasivat Joosualle: "Meille, sinun palvelijoillesi, kerrottiin, että Herra, sinun Jumalasi, käski palvelijansa Mooseksen antaa teille koko tämän maan ja käski teidän hävittää kaikki sen asukkaat tieltänne. Siksi me pelkäsimme henkemme puolesta ja teimme näin.
