8. Jos hän ei voi maksaa korvausta vahinkoa kärsineelle itselleen eikä tällä myöskään ole lähisukulaista, joka voisi ottaa korvauksen vastaan, vahingonkorvaus kuuluu Herralle. Se on annettava papille. Lisäksi hänelle on tuotava pässi, joka uhrataan syyllisen syntien sovitukseksi.
