1. Matkalaulu. Sinun puoleesi, joka olet taivaissa, minä kohotan katseeni.
  
2. Niin kuin orjien silmät tarkkaavat isännän kättä, niin kuin orjattarien silmät tarkkaavat emännän kättä, niin me odottaen katsomme Herraan, Jumalaamme, kunnes hän armahtaa meitä.
  
3. Armahda, Herra, armahda meitä! Jo kauan meitä on väheksytty,
  
4. kylliksi olemme jo kokeneet itsevarmojen ivaa ja ylimielisten pilkkaa.
