11. (H9:11-12)Jo ennen kaksospoikien syntymää, ennen kuin he vielä olivat tehneet mitään hyvää tai pahaa, Jumala sanoi Rebekalle: "Vanhempi on palveleva nuorempaa." Näin Jumala osoitti, että hänen suunnitelmansa perustui hänen omaan valintaansa, ei ihmisen tekoihin vaan kutsujan tahtoon.
