24. Niin keittäjä otti reiden, ja mitä siihen kuului, ja pani sen Saulin eteen. Ja Samuel sanoi: "Katso, tässä pannaan sinun eteesi se, mikä on varattu; syö siitä. Sillä juuri täksi hetkeksi se säästettiin sinua varten, kun minä sanoin: 'Minä olen kutsunut kansan'." Niin Saul aterioi Samuelin kanssa sinä päivänä.
