18. Sitten kaikki maan kansa meni Baalin temppeliin, ja he hävittivät sen. Sen alttarit ja kuvat he löivät aivan murskaksi ja tappoivat alttarien edessä Mattanin, Baalin papin. Sitten pappi asetti vartijat vartioimaan Herran temppeliä.
