25. Ja Pekah, Remaljan poika, hänen vaunusoturinsa, teki salaliiton häntä vastaan ja tappoi hänet Samariassa kuninkaan linnan palatsissa, sekä hänet että Argobin ja Arjen, jolloin Pekahilla oli mukanaan viisikymmentä Gileadin miestä. Näin tämä surmasi hänet ja tuli kuninkaaksi hänen sijaansa.
