32. Absalom vastasi Jooabille: "Katso, minä lähetin sinulle sanan: Tule tänne, niin minä lähetän sinut kuninkaan luo sanomaan: Mitä varten minä olen tullut kotiin Gesurista? Olisi parempi, jos vielä olisin siellä. Nyt minä tahdon tulla kuninkaan kasvojen eteen; ja jos minussa on vääryys, niin surmatkoon hän minut."
