8. Ja Haaman sanoi kuningas Ahasverokselle: "On yksi kansa hajallaan ja erillään muiden kansojen seassa sinun valtakuntasi kaikissa maakunnissa. Heidän lakinsa ovat toisenlaiset kuin kaikkien muiden kansojen, he eivät noudata kuninkaan lakeja, eikä kuninkaan sovi jättää heitä rauhaan.
