31. Mutta Jooas vastasi kaikille, jotka seisoivat hänen ympärillään: "Tekö ajatte Baalin asiaa, tekö autatte häntä? Se, joka ajaa hänen asiaansa, rangaistakoon kuolemalla ennen huomisaamua. Jos hän on jumala, ajakoon itse asiansa, koska kukistettu alttari oli hänen."
